'Larry Crowne' Fined for Movie Poster

As if the critical drubbing of -- and audience-apathy toward -- 'Larry Crowne' wasn't bad enough, now the Tom Hanks film has been fined for reckless driving. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the company distributing the film in Spain will have to pay 30,000 euros because the movie poster shows Hanks and co-star Julia Roberts driving on a motorcycle without helmets. The fine is linked to a 1985 ruling that banned advertising that "encouraged poor driving habits." To date, 'Larry Crowne' has earned just $1.8 million in Spain, or roughly 1.3 million euros. Overall, the film earned just over $50 million worldwide [via THR] Follow Moviefone on Twitter Like Moviefone on Facebook
